Rev. Joe, as he is affectionally called, is passionate about God, People, the Community, and Life in general. Rev Joe Twum is a graduate of several institutions, including: – The Ghana Military Academy (GMA), Army Combat Training School (ACTS), Command and Staff College –Jaji Kaduna Nigeria, United Nations Peace Operations Institute – Sweden, Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI) (strategic studies) – Israel and Sure Foundation Institute – Florida, the USA amongst other institutions.

Rev Joe`s military career was a successful one. He served in various United Nations Peace Keeping Missions worldwide, some of which include the following: UNAMIR – UNITED NATIONS ASSISTANCE MISSION FOR RWANDA (1994) – as a Liaison Officer. ECOWAS Monitoring Group Liberia (ECOMOG) (1995-1996) UNAMSIL – UNIFIL – UNITED NATIONS INTERIM FORCE IN LEBANON (1997and 2002) – as a Company Second-in-Command and Internal Military Observer, respectively. UNITED NATIONS ASSISTANCE MISSION FOR SIERRA LEONE (1998 and 2003) – as an Operations Officer and a Military Observer (Deputy Team Leader), respectively

Within his 16 years of service in the military, Rev Joe held the following appointments: ADJUTANT – The Military Academy and Training Schools (MATS) in Ghana. Aide De Camp to the Chief of Army Staff (Ghana Army). Rev Joe was promoted to the substantive rank of a Major and posted to the Fifth Battalion Infantry (5BN), Arakan Barracks, Burma Camp (Ghana) as the Officer Commanding the Headquarters Company (OCHQ), where he later voluntarily retired in 2005 after 16 years of service.

Rev Joseph Twum, then Lieutenant, was invited to Royalhouse Chapel, then called International Bible Worship Center (IBWC). That is where he encountered the Lord on a Sunday in August 1997. He then moved to the United States, where he continued his service to the Lord with more zeal and joy. As The Lord will have it, Rev. Joe Twum was then inducted as a pastor in 2008 at the Royalhouse Chapel Maryland Mission, where he served under Rev. Emmanuel Agormeda. Together with his leaders and His Dear Wife, Pastor Mrs. Betty Twum, by the grace of God, He has brought tremendous growth in the Mission and is Touching the Bronx, New York Metropolis, and his Generation with the power of God.
